There’s no fixed rule for how often a WETT inspection must be done, but many professionals recommend having one every five years, or anytime you:
Install or modify a wood-burning appliance
Move into a home with an existing system
Notice changes in performance or signs of wear
Need documentation for home insurance
Regular inspections help catch issues early and keep your system operating safely. Some insurance providers may also request an updated WETT inspection after a certain number of years.
