Does a WETT Certificate Expire?

Technically, there is no such thing as a “WETT certificate.” What you receive is a WETT inspection report, not a certification or permit.
WETT inspection reports do not have an official expiry date, but insurance companies or real estate professionals may request an updated report if:
The report is several years old
There have been modifications to the appliance or chimney
The property is being sold or reinsured
While the report itself doesn’t expire, its relevance depends on the situation and the preferences of whoever is requesting it.
